FLORENCE, AL – The fourth UNAfied dinner, a showcase of the creative culinary skills of the students and faculty in the Jeff Eubanks Culinary Arts Management program at the University of North Alabama, is scheduled for Thursday, April 10 at the Renaissance Shoals Conference Center.

“This event is near and dear to my heart and something I look forward to each year,” said Jason Henderson, Director of Rooms at the Renaissance Shoals Resort and Spa and who worked with Eubanks when he was a chef at the Marriott. “Being able to have the UNA Culinary students get the opportunity to showcase their talents is something I know Jeff would be proud of and excited to see.”

The UNAfied dinner is cohosted by UNA Culinary Arts, UNA Hospitality and Events programs and the Renaissance Shoals Resort and Spa; it provides an opportunity for the students in the program to work alongside faculty chefs from UNA as well as the Renaissance to create a four-course meal. The dinner also serves as a fundraiser for the Jeffrey Charles Eubanks Endowment fund that was established in February 2020 at the time of Eubanks’ passing and in honor of his culinary legacy.

“Once again, our talented Culinary Arts Management students have worked throughout the semester to plan and create a fine dining menu to be served at this premier event,” said Einar Gudmundsson, a faculty chef in the program. “It is exciting to see how they apply their skills and techniques as well as creativity throughout the semester to create an exquisite menu for a fine dining event. This dinner is a great way for the students to show off their work and to raise scholarship funds for the of Culinary Arts Management as well as Hospitality and Events Management students.”

Cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres begin at 6 p.m., with dinner service set for 6:30 p.m. A silent auction will conclude at 8 p.m.
