Ray Stevens Cancels Appearance At 'a Salute To George Lindsey'

FLORENCE, Ala. - County music singer and comedian Ray Stevens has cancelled his appearances the University of North Alabama's "A Salute to George Lindsey" due to unforeseen circumstances. "A Salute to George Lindsey" is scheduled for tomorrow night at 7 in the GUC Performance Center on the UNA campus. The event will feature filmed tributes from several notable entertainment personalities as well as an appearance by gospel singer and comedian LuLu Roman. The event is to honor Lindsey for his career on television and in film as well as for his philanthropy and service to his alma mater, UNA. Tickets are $10 and are available at The Wine Seller in downtown Florence and will also be available at the door.
