FLORENCE, Ala. - Ebenezer Scrooge won't be the only person visited by Jacob Marley this holiday season! The University of North Alabama Theatre will once again bring Charles Dickens' classic tale, A Christmas Carol, to UNA's Campus. Performances will be Nov. 21 and 22, at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 23, at 2 p.m.
This classic story by Dickens tells of Ebenezer Scrooge, an old miser who hates Christmas. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley. Marley is covered in chains and forced to wear them for eternity due to a lifetime of greed and selfishness. Marley tells Scrooge that he will be visited by three spirits that night, and that he must listen to them or be cursed to carry chains of his own for eternity. The story of Scrooge's transformation is a holiday staple that is sure to entertain!
