The George Lindsey Una Film Festival Brings O'neill And Goodeve For Q&as

Jasmine Fleming, UNA Dept. of English FLORENCE, Ala. - The 2017 George Lindsey UNA Film Festival will host actors Michael O'Neill and Grant Goodeve for two question and answer sessions. O'Neill will speak to audiences at 7 p.m., Friday, March 3, in the George Lindsey Theatre on UNA's campus. Goodeve's session will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 4, in room 124 of the UNA Communications Building. Both will be free and open to the public. Michael O'Neill, a Montgomery native, has played Richard Barkley in the biographical drama "Dallas Buyers Club," and head of Sector 7 Tom Banacheck in "Transformers." He has also appeared in many notable roles on TV, including recurring roles in "The West Wing," "Bates Motel," "Extant," and "Rectify." Grant Goodeve has 53 acting credits, including David Bradford on "Eight is Enough," the late 70s - early 80s ABC comedy drama that focused on the life of a family with eight children. He also portrayed Capt. Jack Smith on "7th Heaven." Goodeve will appear in Showtime's upcoming revival of "Twin Peaks." George Lindsey UNA Film Festival The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival is one of few film festivals hosted by a university. The event was founded in 1998 by UNA alumnus and celebrated actor and entertainer, the late George Lindsey. Lindsey's own film career included several important roles, most famously the character Goober Pyle on "The Andy Griffith Show."
