FLORENCE, Ala.- The University of North Alabama and the City of Florence have come together to form a "learning agreement."
Under the new plan, UNA would provide educational opportunities for all full-time Florence city employees through UNA's online degree programs (graduate and undergraduate), at a reduced cost.
Dr. Ross Alexander, UNA vice president for Academic Affairs and provost, said the new agreement is just another way UNA is providing pathways to success.
"It's an incredible opportunity for working professionals to either finish their baccalaureate degree or attain a graduate degree to propel their careers," said Alexander. "UNA is committed to building strong relationships with the City of Florence and commends Mayor Holt for his vision and support of his hard-working employees."
