FLORENCE, AL – The Town and Gown Task Force, on behalf of the City of Florence and the University of North Alabama, will have the fifth Pawloween trunk-or-treat event Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon in the Sweetwater District of North Florence.
“It has been the intent of the Town and Gown Task Force to move Pawloween through the City of Florence since the event began in 2020,” said Justin McGill, one of the event organizers and a member of the Task Force. “It has given us a great opportunity to work with the businesses in each area as well as to showcase the unique parts of our community to a new audience.”
Pawloween began in 2020 as a safe, distanced trunk-or-treat event during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, it has evolved into a beloved Halloween event that attracts hundreds of families from across the area for a fun trick-or-treat event that includes departments from the City, areas of UNA’s campus, and other businesses from throughout the community.
There is no rain location for Pawloween. Should there be inclement weather, the event will be canceled.
