Una Welcomes Humorist Jeanne Robertson For Distinguished Event Series

FLORENCE, Ala. - The 2014-15 season of the Distinguished Events Series at theUniversityof North Alabama will kick off with humorist Jeanne Robertson. The event will take place Oct. 28 at 7 p.m., in Norton Auditorium. The event is free of charge; no tickets are required.

According to her bio, Robertson, who turns 70 this year, is known to charm audiences with her humorous observations about life. The former Miss North Carolina has released seven DVDs nationally, authored three books and can also be heard on SiriusXM radio. Some of her most popular anecdotes include "Don't Go to Vegas Without a Baptist," "Don't Bungee Jump Naked" and "Don't Send a Man to the Grocery Store."
