Kirkman Chosen to Serve on CLAS Board

FLORENCE, AL – Dr. Eric Kirkman, Director of Kilby Laboratory School, has been selected by the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) to serve on the CLAS Board of Directors. Dr. Kirkman was chosen by the Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators to join this group of educational leaders dedicated to advancing excellence in leadership and promoting positive change in Alabama schools.
“Having been a member of CLAS for 12 years, I have witnessed the amazing educational programming this organization offers,” Dr. Kirkman said. “Being elected to the CLAS Board of Directors by my peers from across the state truly makes it an honor to serve. It is my hope that I can continue to expand the footprint of Kilby and the University of North Alabama by working with other P-12 and post-secondary education leaders as we establish partnerships for teacher training and leadership development.”
The CLAS Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction and initiatives of CLAS, a premier professional organization committed to supporting and empowering educational leaders across Alabama. Through their expertise, vision, and advocacy, the board members provide strategic guidance and ensure that CLAS continues to meet the evolving needs of educational leaders and the students they serve.
