The George Lindsey Una Film Festival Now Taking Submissions For March 2017 Event

FLORENCE, Ala. - Submissions for the 2017 George Lindsey UNA Film Festival are now open. The Lindsey Film Festival will hold its 20th annual event March 2-4, at the University of North Alabama in Florence.
Filmmakers and screenwriters can submit their work for consideration at Film Freeway, https://filmfreeway.com/festival/GeorgeLindseyUNAFilmFestival. The cost for submission is $5 per film or screenplay.
The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival accepts professional and student films in the narrative, documentary, and vanguard categories, as well as works by young filmmakers. Student and Professional screenplays are also invited.
The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival was founded in 1998 by UNA alumnus and celebrated actor and entertainer, the late George Lindsey. Lindsey's own film career included several important roles, including the character Goober Pyle on "The Andy Griffith Show."
Previous guests to the festival include Oscar winners Billy Bob Thornton and Ernest Borgnine; Michael Rooker of "The Walking Dead; "Back to the Future" Writer/Producer Bob Gale, as well as cast members James Tolkan and Claudia Wells; Music supervisors Dave and Julianne Jordan, Thomas Golubic and Andrea von Foerster; "Million Dollar Man" Lee Majors; and veteran actor Rance Howard, among others.
