FLORENCE, AL – Step Sing, the annual song-and-dance show, sponsored by the University Program Council at the University of North Alabama, is set for Thursday through Saturday at Norton Auditorium on the UNA campus. The show will start at 7 p.m., and doors will open at 6 p.m.

“Step Sing continues to be a favorite tradition of students and employees alike at UNA,” said Becca Bush, Student Activities Coordinator. “From the moment we get back from the holiday break, a new energy envelopes campus as we begin to prepare and anticipate the arrival of the first weekend of February – Step Sing Weekend. UPC is proud to be able to continue to direct this program and use it as a fundraiser to benefit various student resources across campus, including, but not limited to, the Campus Pantry and the Caring for the Pride Fund.”

As part of Step Sing, student teams vie for the title of Step Sing Champion. They choreograph dance routines and adapt song lyrics to UNA and their student experiences in order to perform during the three nights of competition. This year’s theme, around which the routines are based, is “What Could Go Wrong?”

Thursday’s performance is set aside for faculty, staff, and student tickets, while the public is welcome on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $10 and available at this link.
