What is Office 365?

Office 365 is included in a Microsoft partnership with Higher Education to provide powerful messaging, productivity, and collaboration tools to students and employees. Features of Office 365 include:

  • 25 Gigabytes (GB) of email storage (25 MB message size limit)
  • 1 Terabyte (TB) of file storage (OneDrive for Business)
  • The ability to share Calendars in the Office 365 environment as well as with Outlook
  • The ability to synchronize contacts and calendars with your mobile device  
  • Office Workspace supporting online document collaboration with others, even if they do not have Microsoft Office
  • Video Chat and Instant messaging
  • Permanent Email addresses/accounts accessible after graduation/retirement
     

How do I turn off Clutter?

Office 365's Clutter feature can be disabled through the Web App, and the setting will be applied to Outlook. To change this setting:

  1. Sign in to http://www.outlook.com/una.edu
  2. At the top left corner of the page, select the App launcher icon App launcher, and then select Mail.
  3. On the top right corner of the page, go to Settings SettingsYour app settings > Mail
  4. In the Options on the left side, select Automatic processing > Clutter
  5. Uncheck "Separate items identified as Clutter" then Save Save

You can enable Clutter again anytime by checking "Separate items identified as Clutter." Please note that the Clutter folder remains in Outlook after you turn off the Clutter feature.
 

How do I turn off Junk?

Office 365's Junk feature can be disabled through the Web App, and the setting will be applied to Outlook. To change this setting:

  1. Sign in to http://www.outlook.com/una.edu
  2. At the top left corner of the page, select the App launcher icon App launcher and then select Mail
  3.  On the top right corner of the page, go to Settings Settings Your app settings > Mail
  4. In the Options on the left side, select Mail > Accounts > Block or Allow
  5. Click the radio button "Don't move mail to my Junk Email Folder" and click Save Save

You can enable Junk again anytime by clicking the radio button to "Automatically filter junk email." Please note that the Junk folder remains in Outlook after you turn off the Junk Email feature.
