Mentoring Program


Welcome to the Cole Honors Mentor Page! Established in 2015, the Honors Mentor Program pairs an incoming first year student with a current Honors student to provide guidance during the important transition to college life. Mentors and their Mentees and Mentor Pods (several Mentor/Mentee clusters) get together for fun and interesting extracurricular events during the fall semester. The focus is on support, assistance, and having a smooth transition during the freshman year.

The Honors College prides itself on our strong community. It's one of the best things about the Honors College. The Mentor Program gives incoming students someone who can answer questions and be a guide to the UNA experience.  

Training for new Mentors takes place in the spring of each year. Our new Mentor Leaders for 2021-2022 are Kendal Crowell, Caroline Schlichter, and Grace Hafner. We are excited about the Mentor Program for fall. 

To help us pair new Honors students with the best mentor possible, we ask interested freshmen to fill out the following questionnaire:
