UNA Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally-funded TRIO program designed to support participating students in successfully completing their undergraduate education. TRIO SSS provides comprehensive academic support for students who are first generation, low income and/or have a documented disability. TRIO SSS student members benefit from innovative program resources, mentors, tutors and a highly dedicated program staff. Our holistic approach is carefully designed to promote retention and graduation by identifying resources and opportunities that meet individual student needs.

Mission: 

To support and empower first generation, low income, and students who are disabled in their post-secondary journey while fostering an atmosphere that promotes higher learning opportunities in academics, career exploration, and social emotional health. 

Vision: 

Our vision is to solidify a sense of belonging for our TRiO SSS students at the University of North Alabama while educating the campus and community of the invaluable experiences and perspectives our TRIO students offer.
