Bachelor's Degree in Sociology

The Sociology Program houses five full-time faculty members who offer a wide range of courses, including undergraduate courses in The Sociology Major and Tracks, undergraduate courses in the department’s minor areas of study in Criminology and Family Studies, and graduate courses in Family and Community Services.

Requirements and Tracks for Sociology Major

If interested, students can further customize their sociology major by focusing on one of the program’s tracks in Family Life Education, Non-Profit Management, or Industrial Leadership.

Careers in Sociology

A degree in sociology can prepare students for a variety of careers that help individuals, families, and organizations reach their highest potential. Sociologists are often employed as researchers, case workers, advocates, counselors, and organizers in areas related to public health, criminal justice, public policy, business, and community non-profits.
