Outstanding Global Lion
Each spring, the Office of International Affairs selects one international student and one domestic student as recipients of the Outstanding Global Lions Award. This award recognizes two graduating students for their active participation in global learning and significant contributions to the promotion of cultural sharing and engagement on campus and in the community.
Application deadline: Wednesday, March 1, 2023 - 12 Noon
Eligibility Requirements
Selection of award recipients will be based on academic achievement, character, global engagement, and leadership potential.To be considered for the Outstanding Global Lions Award you must meet the following requirements:
- Graduating spring/summer 2023
- Excellent academic accomplishments with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Excellent record of global engagement
Submission Package
- Student statement of 500 words describing experiences, activities and contributions to global engagement on campus and in the community.
- Resume to include GPA; Honors; International, Intercultural, Education Abroad, and/or COIL experiences; relevant leadership experiences
- Letter of recommendation from a UNA faculty or staff member who can verify the global learning/participation, and/or contribution of the nominee
Submission package for this award must be received by 12:00 noon on March 1, 2023.
