The Preparing Future Faculty Program assists participants by:  

• Providing and promoting professional development opportunities and resources related to teaching and learning
• Developing a realistic perspective on the skills required for success as a faculty member
• Better preparing them for all aspects of their future faculty careers including teaching, scholarly research and/or creative activities, and service
• Enhancing their competitiveness for doctoral programs and future employment opportunities in academia
• Broadening their awareness of diverse academic institutions
• Providing a supportive environment to practice, document, and reflect upon their teaching skills
• Encouraging the development of a positive, sustained mentoring relationship with faculty members, allowing for a more in-depth look at a successful faculty career
