Out-of-State Distance Education Students

Out-of-state applicants to our distance education programs should become familiar with their state’s regulations governing distance-accessible programs. Prospective students residing in states other than Alabama should contact their state’s Board of Nursing and Department of Education for specific rules and regulations about students enrolled in out-of-state programs who plan to conduct ACONHP distance education in their home state. Students who reside in Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee or those states where the ACONHP programs are eligible for admission.

The Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions is not regulated in Texas under Tex. Educ. Code 132.001. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program in nursing, and post-graduate APRN certificate program in nursing at the University of North Alabama are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org). The Alabama Board of Nursing accredits the University of North Alabama’s Anderson College of Nursing.
