Title VI

The University of North Alabama ensures compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 49 CFR, Part 21, and related statutes and regulations to the end that " no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance" (42 U.S.C. Sectio 2000d) including the denial of meaning access for Limited English Proficient (LEP) persons.

The purpose of this plan is to assist the University of North Alabama in its administration and management of Title VI related activities. The University of North Alabama’s Title VI Coordinator is Stephanie Smith, Title VI Coordinator. She can be contacted at 256-765-4100.

TITLE VI NOTICE OF PROTECTION AGAINST DISCRIMINATION

Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the University of North Alabama.
