Web Lion Training & Cascade Server Access

The digital communications team hosts basic Cascade Server training and advanced training by request. Web Lions must attend Basic Training to activate their Cascade Server account. 

Basic Training

Basic training is mandatory for anyone wanting to become a Web Lion. Training lasts approximately one-hour and is conducted via Teams. 

Topics covered in basic training:

  • Introduction to the UNA website structure
  • Cascade and web terminology
  • Cascade login and navigation
  • Building and editing pages
  • Adding a right column
  • Implementing an Impact Area
  • Uploading and managing documents and images
  • Placing links and images within content
  • Publishing and deleting
  • Best practices and other tips & tricks

Advanced Training

Note: Advanced training is for Web Lions who have already received and are comfortable with the topics covered in basic training.

Advanced training is offered by request. Our Cascade experts are on hand to assist Web Lions individually. Bring your questions/projects related to Cascade.

Topics covered in advanced training:

  • Borrowing and copying content
  • Managing multimedia content
  • Special page types
  • Embedding widgets & iframes
  • Staging new content without publishing
  • Form builder support

Please note that if your account is inactive for six months, we will deactivate your account and you will no longer have access to Cascade Server.
