As of September 1st, 2020, the 5001 Elementary Multiple Subject Praxis test was replace by the 5901 Elementary Triple Subject Bundle test. Please see the table below for specific information on which subtest codes should be used in place of the old subtest codes.

- Praxis Testing Requirements
Information on the Praxis testing requirements for the state of Alabama can be found at https://www.ets.org/praxis/al/test-takers/plan-your-test/licensure.html Passing scores are required prior to internship. *Note: Not detailed on the ETS site are the alternate score requirements related to the exception for Alternative Class A students' unconditional admission with undergraduate GPA's lower than 2.5. This exception is detailed in Item 1 of the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) memorandum issued on April 17th, 2019. More information about alternate score requirements for Alt A students who qualify for the exception of unconditional admission noted above can be found by contacting our Certification Officer, Sarah Beth Hester, at 256-765-4860, or by email at shester3@una.edu.

Praxis Subject Assessments
- Educator Preparation candidates must pass all Praxis Subject Assessments required for their area of certification before student internship.

- To register for a Praxis Subject Assessment exam, go to https://www.ets.org/praxis/site/test-takers/register.html or call Praxis Series Customer Service: 1-800-772-9476.

Score reports must be sent to UNA ( Code 1735) and to the Alabama State Department of Education ( Code 7020) directly from ETS.
- Please make sure you register using the exact name on your Driver's License.
Praxis tests are delivered ON UNA's East campus multiple times each semester. For information on upcoming testing dates you may visit University Testing Services .
Educator Preparation candidates are responsible for having exam score reports sent to UNA and the ALSDE. If you do not request a score report for these recipients, it will cost you an additional fee with ETS to send at a later date. More information on how to do this can be found at https://www.ets.org/praxis/site/test-takers/scores.html
Request that your score report be sent to UNA 1735 and AL State Department 7020.
