Internship Application

Applications for Fall 2025 Student Teaching Internship is now open!

Applications are due by Friday, February 14, 2025 by 11:55 pm.

Note: If you submit your Internship application late, your application will not be processed until you have paid a non-refundable $50 fee to the Office of Educator Preparation. Late Applications will be accepted until March 7th, but internship placement is not guaranteed. Late fees must be submitted to the Office of Student Accounts using account number 164577 and a copy of your receipt must be attached to your application for processing.

Students should apply even if all requirements for internship have not been met at the time of the application.

  • Spring Internship: Praxis and Foundations of Reading passing scores must be on file with UNA by November 1st.
  • Fall Internship: Praxis and Foundations of Reading passing scores must be on file by July 1st.
  • Submission of a late application may delay admission to the internship and does not guarantee the candidate an internship placement.
  • Applications submitted during the Summer term will not be considered for Fall semester placement.
  • Candidates denied admission to Student Teaching Internship must reapply by the posted deadline in a subsequent semester.

What do I need to apply for my Internship?

  • MyUNA Profile log in
    • As a current student, you can use your UNA credentials:internship.jpg
  • Declared Education Major in COEHS
  • Previously Accepted to TEP/GTEP
  • TCH Number
  • Proof of Personal Liability Coverage
  • Complete all General Studies coursework (undergraduate students only)
  • Complete all Professional Studies coursework with a grade of “C” or better
  • Complete all Teaching Field coursework with a grade of “C” or better
  • Complete all required Field Experience hours
  • Pass all appropriate PRAXIS Subject Assessments/Foundations of Reading Test
  • GPA:
    • Professional Studies coursework with a minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Teaching Field coursework with a minimum GPA of 2.75
    • UNA GPA minimum GPA of 2.75
    • Overall GPA minimum GPA of 2.5
