Funding Opportunities
The Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs (OGSP) provides assistance to faculty to research funding opportunities. The OGSP staff routinely reviews grant announcements from government and non-governmental sources to evaluate their alignment with UNA's research and service objectives. In addition to broad strategic alignment with University goals and objectives, OGSP can assist with searches for funding opportunities that will advance specific faculty proposals. For any help related to funding opportunities, please contact John Gurley at jgurley3@una.edu. Additionally, several useful tools for grant research are provided below.
Grants.gov is the U.S. federal government's central directory of discretionary funding opportunities. It is a website that allows users to search and to apply for federal funding opportunities. The site has a variety of training resources for grant seekers, writing tools, and user guides that demonstrate the search and applications functions found at grants.gov. Search and subscription services allow users to find funding opportunities from currently open announcements as well as past grant program notices. This is a valuable resource for researching the funding landscape for potential projects and for staying informed about grant opportunities.
