Welcome to the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs
The Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs supports the development of grant proposals to help University faculty and students participate in research, public service, and creative activities. The OGSP provides assistance to faculty and staff with locating funding sources, preparing proposals and budgets, filing applications, and related pre-award efforts. The OGSP also oversees the post-award administration of grants and contracts, and helps to administer important compliance policies such as the Intellectual Property Policy, the Institutional Review for the Human Subject Policy, Conflict of Interest, and the Animal Use Policy.
The OGSP can assist faculty to secure external funds that will advance the University of North Alabama’s mission and individual faculty goals. This includes research to advance understanding of education, pedagogy, and educational processes, research to expand the scientific and technological base and to support both basic and applied research, and proposals that extend the public service activities of the University, including opportunities for community service, economic and workforce development to extend academic expertise outward for the benefit of nearby communities and the public at large.
