UNA’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Receives Accreditation

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Board of Commissioners has granted accreditation to the Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of North Alabama for five years, extending to 2029.

UNA Welcomes Esports Teams for Mane Event 2024

The University of North Alabama is, once again, hosting the Mane Event, a thrilling two-day Esports tournament featuring Mario Kart 8, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Mane Event is set for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22-23 in the Guillot University Center on the UNA campus.

UNA Percussion Ensemble Selected for 2024 Percussive Arts Society International Convention

The University of North Alabama Percussion Ensemble has been selected to perform at the 2024 Percussive Arts Society International Convention that recently wrapped up in Indianapolis, Ind., at the Indianapolis Convention Center.

UNA Band Receives Senate Resolution Recognizing Band’s 75th Anniversary

The band program at the University of North Alabama has received a resolution from the Alabama State Senate recognizing its 75th anniversary. The UNA Band also received a commendation from Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey recognizing the anniversary.

National First-Gen Day Celebration Set for Today

National First-Gen Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of the strengths of first-generation college students, faculty, and staff as well as a way to support, elevate, and increate the visibility of being first-generation on campus. The University of North Alabama will celebrate its first-generation community on Nov. 7 from 2-4 p.m. at Collier Library.

The Marching Pride, UNA’s Award-Winning Band, to Perform In the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®

This Saturday, the University of North Alabama Marching Band, the Marching Pride of North Alabama, was selected to perform in the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®, representing the State of Alabama. This will mark the first Parade appearance by the UNA Marching Band. The Marching Pride of North Alabama will join the holiday march to the call of “Let’s Have a Parade™,” the iconic phrase that has signaled the start of every Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade since 1924.
