No. Philanthropy is all about the donor. The goal with philanthropy is to find the purpose that speaks to the heart of the donor and blesses those the philanthropist intends to serve with their gift.
You can make a gift with cash, check, or online, and payroll deduction is available for our faculty and staff. Please note: In order to be counted as one of the 1,830 donors your gift must be at least $10 and made during the 1830 Giving Initiative.
Absolutely. Many people make a gift to UNA in memory of a loved one, in honor of a trusted colleague, or in appreciation of an outstanding educator. While we welcome gifts made in honor or in memory of others, only the individual donor who gives the gift will receive an 1830 challenge coin.
No. The 1830 Giving Initiative is an individual challenge, and we encourage each member of a household to give to the area(s) that mean the most to them. However, if members in the same household wish to support a common area with a gift of at least $10 per individual, they may do so. If you choose this option, please include your written intentions either in the notes section of an online donation, or include a written notation with your check. We encourage you to Be ONE. Bring ONE.
All gifts to UNA are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
Yes. All current-use funds are subject to a 5 percent administrative fee for each contribution. Endowed funds are subject to an annual administrative fee of 1.5 percent of the annual distribution date market value.
Yes. As long as the payroll deduction or pledge payment is at least $10 or more during the month of March, the donor will count as one of the donors for the 1830 Giving Initiative.
