MAJOR JAIME E. NAVARRO
MAJ Jaime E. Navarro, a career Army Intelligence Officer with over 10 years of active duty military service, MAJ Navarro’s military service encompasses a variety of leadership and management positions that span across three continents, including deployments to Afghanistan and the Republic of South Korea.
Currently, he serves at the University of North Alabama (UNA) as an Assistant Professor of Military Science within Department of Military Science. MAJ Navarro’s duties and responsibilities include leading and mentoring UNA students to become future leaders within our nation’s communities, and build UNA cadets into future Army leaders in defense of our great nation. Throughout his career, he served on multiple staffs as the Senior Intelligence Officer and Subject Matter Expert on matters regarding Intelligence, Force Protection, and National Security. In these roles, MAJ Navarro directly led, managed and provided oversight over dozens of intelligence operations in direct support to the Department of Army and Department of Defense initiatives. Over the years, he also routinely led multiple interagency coordination and liaison efforts between foreign partner and US intelligence services across the Intelligence Community. In support of these objectives, he routinely developed, planned and executed intelligence training plans consisting of US and Host Nation government personnel.
Prior to his arrival to UNA, MAJ Navarro successfully completed a hand selected assignment where he served as the Commander of an organization responsible for providing specialized intelligence support directly to Commanders, United States Forces Korea (4-Star General Officer), Eighth US Army (3-Star General Officer), and the Intelligence and Security Command (2-Star General Officer). During his service in the Republic of Korea, he also provided military and leadership training to the National Korean Military Academy. MAJ Navarro’s professional military education includes the US Army Infantrymen Course, Air Assault School, and the Army Basic and Advanced Officer Courses. He has also completed multiple Advanced Military Intelligence training throughout his career.
Civilian education accomplishments include an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Columbus State University, with a minor in Advanced Leadership and Military Science. As an Army ROTC cadet, he ranked among the top ten percent of Army cadets in the nation and was a selected as a distinguished military graduate.
