The University of North Alabama offers master's programs that lead to Alabama Professional Educator Certification. The Traditional Class A Program is designed for teachers who already hold a Class B teaching certificate. Programs are offered in the following teaching fields and instructional support areas:

The University of North Alabama also offers master's programs that lead to Alabama Professional Educator Certification through the Alternative A program. The Alternative Class A Program is a graduate teacher education program designed for candidates who hold a baccalaureate degree in any field but do not yet hold a teaching certificate. Successful completion of the Alt A program will result in a Master's Degree and eligibility for an Alabama Class A Teaching Certificate. Programs are offered in the following teaching fields:

The Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation offers two graduate level degree programs: a MAED in P-12 Physical Education and a Master of Science in Health and Human Performance. In addition, the department also offers an Alternative Class A Program leading to a Master of Arts in Education in P-12 Physical Education.
