Pamela Baschab

Judge Pamela (Willis) Baschab attended UNA from 1965 – 1967.  She received her BA in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of South Alabama where she earned the distinction of outstanding graduate.  She obtained her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law, San Antonio, Texas, and received the American Jurisprudence Award for Constitutional Law.  In 1993, she completed the General Jurisdiction Course at the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada.

Pam’s career began as an Assistant District Attorney in Mobile County, Alabama, before working several years in the family practice firm of Chason & Underwood in Foley, Alabama.  In 1987, she set up her private practice in Elberta, Alabama, as that city’s first attorney.  Pam was then elected and served four years as the Alabama District Judge in Baldwin County, four years as Baldwin County Circuit Judge, and 12 years as Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals Judge and presiding judge. Pam is currently serving as an active judge in the circuit and district courts for Alabama.

She has served in many community and volunteer service roles, and she has spoken to more than 200 civic and political groups on domestic violence, judicial campaign finance reform, and women in politics. 

Currently, she is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association (ASBA), Our Lady of the Shoals Parish Council, the Tuscumbia Downtown Redevelopment Authority, and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame Advisory Board.
