Gregory X. Law '86
Gregory X. Law - Gregory graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. During his time at UNA, he was a member of the 1983 UNA Football team that won the Gulf South Championship which advanced to the Division II Regional Championship. Gregory also served on the Panhellenic Council and was President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Kappa Gamma Chapter. After completing his undergraduate studies, he briefly attended graduate school at UNA while working at the Tennessee Valley Authority in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. A leadership promotion relocated him to their corporate office in Knoxville, Tennessee where he served as an Administrative Manager.
Gregory later joined State Farm® Insurance Company in Atlanta, Georgia as a Claim Specialist handling complex property and personal injury claims. After several promotions, he was appointed Claim Section Manager in 1999. Over the course of his career, he led a number of different claim operations in the Southeastern region. Gregory finished his career leading State Farm’s® Special Investigation Unit which was responsible for investigating automobile and homeowner claims with indicators of potential fraud. During his tenure he earned the CPCU, ChFC and CLU professional designations. He retired in 2019 after a 30-year career. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Cindy Donald Dreams of Recovery Foundation and has been very active in the Atlanta area UNA Alumni Club. Gregory was very instrumental in establishing the Major Dwayne Williams Endowment and Scholarship Fund at UNA.
Gregory and his wife Tonya reside in Suwanee, Georgia.
