Angie Hamilton is an Assistant District Attorney for the 11th Judicial Circuit, Lauderdale County Alabama.  She had been a prosecutor for 8 years.  Mrs. Hamilton prosecutes all crimes ranging from traffic tickets to capital murder cases.  In 2006, she started the Lauderdale County Cold Case task force which consists of officers from several different agencies who investigate cold cases in Lauderdale County. Ms. Hamilton is in charge of the Domestic Violence Unit, which endeavors to proactively prevent incidences of domestic violence related fatalities. Ms. Hamilton is also responsible for the office's Collections Unit. This unit endeavors to hold offenders accountable to crime victims and the court system by ensuring that criminal defendants with the ability to pay court ordered monies are required to pay or face sanctions from the court. Ms. Hamilton also works closely with the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force prosecuting drug offenses and providing law enforcement training on search and seizure and other drug prosecution topics. Prior to joining the Lauderdale County DA’s office, Ms. Hamilton worked as a Deputy District Attorney in the Montgomery County DA’s office.
