Student Funding Opportunities Provided by the UNA Women of Influence

Text on with a Lion face in the background. Text reads: The Lion, The Pitch, and The Wardrobe. The Lion: That's you! The Pitch: How you promote yourself to future employers. The Wardrobe: Interview attire.

With limited space and limited funds, some UNA students find it difficult to dress for success for interviews and job fairs. This project will assist students by providing funding for purchasing suits, pants, blouses, and other pre-approved professional attire.

Students will be required to fill out a questionnaire, write a short essay on how professional attire would assist them in reaching their career goals, schedule a mock interview with the Career Center, and submit a proposed budget for their clothing purchases. Applications will be reviewed by UNA Career Center staff and participants will be selected with preference given to those students deemed the most in need; i.e. limited financial resources.

If selected, each eligible student will be provided with a maximum of $250 from the award to be applied toward the purchase of professional attire (clothing and accessories). Funds will be provided to students, and students will provide documentation to the UNA Career Center to validate the purchases.

Please fill out and complete the steps detailed in the application form and email to Rian Brown: rbrown12@una.edu
