The University of North Alabama (UNA) is a state owned institution located in Florence, Alabama. It has a rich history dating back to 1830, making it one of the oldest universities in the United States. Today UNA offers fully accredited programs in over 100 different undergraduate and graduate concentrations in four different colleges. Our classes are small and friendly and are taught by faculty members only. In addition, the Office of International Affairs offers an intensive English learning program for international students. English as a Second Language (ESL) is a five step program designed to prepare students for both undergraduate and graduate academic coursework at UNA.
