Costs / Expenses
UNA provides a high quality education, with relatively low costs for tuition and fees, which translates into an excellent educational value.
Students who attend UNA as either residents on-campus or commuters from off-campus enjoy considerable savings from their counterparts at private colleges and universities. This magnitude of savings, by attending UNA instead of a private college or university over 4 years, is enough to pay for a new automobile and a down payment on a small home or condominium. It is considerably less expensive to attend UNA as an on-campus resident student (enjoying all the benefits of the college experience) or as a commuting student (enjoying most of the benefits of the college experience) than to stay overnight for a comparable period at a middle-priced motel. Another useful comparison reveals that it is less expensive to attend UNA, acquire a quality undergraduate education, enjoy the college experience, and be prepared to face the challenges of a dynamic workplace and an internationally competitive economy, than to purchase and operate a mid-sized automobile or truck for the same time period.

Monthly Payment Options for Students and Families
Through a commercial provider (see the website at www.afford.com), the University of North Alabama provides a monthly payment plan that enables students and families to spread all or part of annual expenses over equal monthly payments, eliminating the need for lump sum payments at the beginning of each term. This interest-free monthly payment option is designed for students and families who do not want or need a loan to pay for tuition and other expenses, but who are interested in spreading payments out prior to and during each semester. This payment plan is available to all students and families for a small annual up-front service fee.
Additional information about Tuition and Fees, and Monthly Payment options, are available from the business office at (256) 765-4441 or 1-800-TALK-UNA extension 4441.
