Graduate students interested in a career in Higher Education are encouraged to consider this opportunity to gain experience in the field of student affairs while enrolled in graduate course work.  Primary duties include planning campus events through the University Programs Council.  This individual will gain experience negotiating contracts, managing budgets, planning projects, and advising a large campus organization.  It is important that this is an energetic and organized individual with night and weekend availability as well as reliable personal transportation.

The Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life is a part-time position while enrolled in Graduate course work during the fall and spring semesters at the University of North Alabama.

Duties include serving as the primary advisor for the College Panhellenic Council and Independent Greek Council, assisting with leadership programs and special events (i.e., National Hazing Prevention Week, Homecoming 5K, etc.), and managing Fraternity and Sorority Life Social Media.

Undergraduate students with at least two semesters at the University of North Alabama serve as liaisons between the Office of Student Engagement and student body and as a resource to increase student involvement.  Student Leadership Consultants (SLCs) use peer-to-peer consulting and workshops to help maximize leadership potential among individuals and campus organizations.  They also are responsible for day to day desk operations of the Student Engagement Center.  These students will work an average of 10-12 hours per week in the office during the Fall and Spring Semester, plus some possible nights and weekends depending on availability.
