    Growing up in Chicago, Illinois, and its suburbs, Louise received excellent musical training and exposure to great performing groups. She has took piano lessons since the age of six, started accompanying at age nine, and played the piano for local Summerstock Theatre groups at the age of sixteen. She attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana receiving her BS degree in music education.

    In June, 1970, DePaul University in Chicago awarded her the master of Music degree, with distinction, in music education: general supervision. In college she was active in Mu Phi Epsilon, music sorority, and was inducted into Phi Kappa Lambda, music scholastic honorary. Louise has taught piano since the age of sixteen and has been the pianist at First United Methodist Church in Sheffield, Alabama for twenty years.

   In the Shoals area, Louise has been employed as adjunct faculty at UNA since 1974, accompanying and teaching. She has served for many years on the Shoals Symphony Board, has been chairman of the Eunice Hoffmeister Concerto Competition, and is active in the Florence Music Study Club and the National Federation of Music Teachers.  Louise has a passion for music students, her family and grandchildren.
