Medical Insurance

This page applies only to International Students at the University of North Alabama. No other UNA students are eligible.

  1. International students and scholars (F-1, J-1 visa holders) are required to carry valid health insurance and their health insurance fees will be automatically charged each semester.
  2. The insurance policy starts on August 1 and expires on July 31 each year.  The insurance fee and benefits may vary from year to year.
  3. The insurance fees are charged by policy open enrollment period and is non-refundable.
  4. The insurance quoted is for F-1 and J-1 visa holders only.  F-2 and J-2 dependents must show proof of adequate health insurance.

  Mid-fall new students are charged a pro-rated amount. Mid-spring new students are charged a pro-rated amount.
