Room Reclaim & Selection

DO YOU WANT TO LIVE ON CAMPUS NEXT YEAR?

IT’S TIME FOR RESIDENCE HALL RECLAIM 17-18!

 

Option 1: Choose Your Same Room!

  • Available to residents in Hawthorne, Covington, Appleby East & West, Lafayette, and Rivers
  • You must complete the residence hall application & contract PRIOR to claiming your room. Complete the Returner Application HERE and submit.
  • You must sign up for a room reclaim appointment time. The schedule will be available HERE to sign up for a time beginning Sunday, March 12th at 4pm and ending Monday, April 3rd at 9am. 
  • Come to the Rice Hall Lobby and reclaim your current room between 10am-4pm on Monday, April 3rd. Any unclaimed rooms will be listed as available on Tuesday, April 4th. 

Option 2: Choose A Different Room or Hall!

  • Available to residents in Hawthorne, Covington, Appleby East & West, Lafayette, and Rivers wishing to choose a different room and/or hall. Returning Mattielou & Olive residents must choose a new room in an upperclassmen hall.
  • You must complete the Returner Application & contract PRIOR to claiming your room. Complete the Returner Application HERE and submit.
  • Choose your selection time beginning Sunday, March 12th at 4pm and ending Tuesday, April 4th at 9am. You may choose a selection time for TuesdayWednesday, or Thursday. You are only allowed to select one appointment time. 
  • Come to the Rice Hall Lobby at your chosen appointment time and select your preferred room between 10am-4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (April 4th-6th). 
  • Tip: Rooms will be available on a first come, first serve basis. We recommend that you take into consideration any roommate/suitemate preferences as you sign up for a selection time so you may come and choose a room together. The earlier you schedule, the better chance you have of securing your preferred room. 

Important Information

  • If you select a room during Reclaim Week, you are exempt from paying the $150 application fee.
  • By selecting a room, you are entering a binding contract for the 2017-2018 academic year. The selection process does not allow you to "hold" rooms until you decide otherwise. You will be responsible for the term of the contract. 
  • Current residents that do not reclaim a room between Monday-Thursday (April 3rd-6th) and later decide to return to campus must complete the General Application & Contract and pay the $150 Application Fee. You will receive your 2017-2018 assignment in mid-late summer.
