College of Business Endowed Scholarships

Abroms Endowed Accounting Scholarship

Full time student in the Department of Accounting pursuing degrees in accounting. Preference to children of employees of Abroms & Assoc. or successor but not descendants of Martin and Donna Abroms.  One academic year only. May reapply.

Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants Endowed Scholarship

Recipients of the scholarship must meet the following requirements: have completed Financial/Intermediate Accounting I and II courses before beginning of the fall semester to be awarded, have "B" average in all accounting courses (3.0 on a 4.0 scale), have a "B" average overall (3.0 on a 4.0 scale), have at least one full year left in school (fourth or fifth year), have declared a major in accounting, enrolled with six hours per semester (12 per year), and must be a US. citizen or a permanent resident (green card). Preference given to candidates with a strong interest in a career in Alabama public accounting and planning to pursue CPA licensure, but are not presently a CPA The scholarship/s may be renewable for up to four years if meets or maintains the above mentioned criteria.

Campbell Accounting Endowed Scholarship

Accounting majors, undergraduate or graduate, have completed Intermediate Accounting I, with the grade of A or B. A GPA of 3.5 in upper-level accounting courses is preferred.

Institute of Management (IMA) Lawrence H. Conwill Endowed Scholarship

Recipients must have declared accounting as a major, completed at least Intermediate Accounting I with minimum of B average, interested in a career in management accounting pursuit of the CMA professional credentials, be active participant in UNA accounting student organizations or in the Muscle Shoals Chapter of the IMA and have financial need. Rhett Harrell Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Selected by the Accounting Scholarship Committee, recipients must have a 3.0 GPA, demonstrates financial need and does not qualify for other academic scholarship aid.

Patterson, Prince, and Associates, P.C. Endowed Scholarship

Selected by the Accounting Scholarship Committee, recipients must have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Walter M. Campbell III Endowed Scholarship

Selected by the Accounting Scholarship Committee, recipients must have at least a 2.5 GPA.

IMA Dr. Royal E. Knight Endowed Scholarship

Selected by an Accounting Scholarship Committee. Candidate should have min GPA 3.0. Preference to graduate student pursuing Accounting Concentration in UNA's Master of Business Administration program interested in management accounting could include a goal for CMA exam. If no MBA student,  award may go to senior accounting major. Committed before beginning of fall semester.

Charlotte Y. and Albert E. Williams Memorial Scholarship

Students majoring in business. Recipients must have demonstrated financial need. The scholarship/s may be renewable for up to four years of a undergraduate education provided criteria.

George E. and Cora C. Broman Endowed Scholarship

Student in the College of Business pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree. Good for one year, previous recipients may reapply.

Roscoe S. and Eva C. Tallman Endowed Scholarship

Student in the College of Business pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree. Good for one year, previous recipients may reapply.

Florence Rotary Club Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Recipient shall be students at the College of Business. For one year, may re-apply.

JB and Pearlie Mardis Goins Memorial Endowed Scholarship

First priority given to juniors pursuing degree in Business Administration. If none second to Sophomores, if none third to student pursuing Master's Of Business Administration. 

UNA Huntsville/Madison County Alumni Association CIS Endowed Scholarship

First priority grad of high school in Huntsville, Madison or Madison County
Second majoring in Computer Information Services
Third freshmen with high school GPA of 3.5 and/or sophomores, juniors and seniors who maintained a 3.0 GPA

Sam and Nell Williams in Honor of Roy S. Stevens Endowed Scholarship

Recipients shall be full-time student in College of Business.

Clark Warren Endowed Scholarship

Students (1) entering their junior year w/major in Marketing, (2) deemed marginally eligible for enrollment as incoming freshmen based on HS grades, entrance exams (3) have achieved academic success beyond that predicted by conditions of admission. One year but renewable (1) complete junior year (2) continue to meet criteria (3) reapply for senior year.

Texas Roadhouse of Florence, Alabama Endowed Scholarship

Qualifications; graduate of HS within 50 mile radius of Florence. First priority students major Management with a concentration in Hospitality Management. Second students majoring in other Management. Must maintain 3.25 or higher. Renew up to 4 years.

TVA Muscle Shoals Chapter of the National Management Association Endowed Scholarship

Recipients shall be full time business students. GPA of 3.0 (B) required preference to students in Management. One year only may reapply.

William M. Gough, III, Endowed Scholarship

Student  must be a senior with a Management or Marketing major and maintain a GPA or equal to 2.60. First: students from Florence HS Second: Lauderdale County students. Third and fourth to HS in the state of Alabama. Last student deemed most qualified by the faculty of Dept. of Marketing and Management.

Gladys and Basil Morris Permanent Endowment Scholarship

Recipients shall be full-time student with major in Economics or Finance.

AmSouth Bank Business Scholarship

Recipients shall be full-time student in the College of Business, preferably a junior.

Marsha Whitley Hargett Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications: first priority students majoring in Computer Information Services; second priority - juniors and seniors who maintained a 2.8 GPA.  Scholarships are for one academic year only and not renewable for subsequent years.
