College of Arts and Sciences Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene Endowed Scholarships

Franklin A. Lenfesty American Chemical Society Endowed Scholarship

Full time students. incoming freshmen and transfer students majoring in professional chemistry may apply for the scholarship. Recipients must maintain a minimum of cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all courses prescribed in the professional chemistry major and be an active participant in the UNA chapter of the student affiliates of the American Chemical Society.
Each scholarship it for up to four years, continuation decided at the end of each spring semester.

Shirley A. Isbell Endowed Scholarship

The proceeds under this agreement shall be used to fund endowed scholarships in the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene. The parry employed as a faculty member to perform the services stated herein shall be a contract employee of the Foundation and not an employee of the University.

Raymond E. Isbell Endowed Scholarship for Academic Excellence (#1)

The proceeds under this agreement shall be used to fund endowed scholarships in the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene. The parry employed as a faculty member to perform the services stated herein shall be a contract employee of the Foundation and not an employee of the University.

M.M. Striplin, Jr., Endowed Scholarship

Recipients shall be full time student majoring in Chemistry. One academic year only, may reapply.

Charles W. Richmond Endowed Scholarship

Recipients shall be full time student majoring in Chemistry. One academic year only, may reapply.    

Linda J. Kanipe Endowed Scholarship for Chemistry Teachers

Recipients shall be sophomores or higher enrolled full time with minimum 3.0 GPA and pursuing degrees in the Department of Chemistry with declared intention to become chemistry teachers at the secondary or college level. 

Thomas P. Murray Endowed Scholarship

First priority will be given to students who are majoring in chemistry. If none, second given to students majoring in biology or physics and earth sciences.

Michael B. Moeller Endowed Scholarship

Student must be majoring in Chemistry, Option I, or the equivalent.   The scholarship may be renewable provided a full-time student at the University of North Alabama, making satisfactory progress toward graduation, enroll in at least one chemistry course for both fall and spring semesters, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all chemistry courses taken at UNA, and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all courses taken at UNA.  Awards for this scholarship must be made or committed on or before the beginning of the fall semester of any academic year.  

Robert Francis Pinkney Permanent Endowement Scholarship

Recipients shall be full time students pursuing a major in chemistry.

Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene Scholarship

Recipients shall be enrolled in the department of Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene. Currently enrolled, newly entering Freshmen and transfer students are eligible.
