The National Criminal Justice Honor Society

Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of Undergraduate and Graduate students of Criminal Justice, as well as Juris Doctorate students. The goals of Alpha Phi Sigma are to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity. Alpha Phi Sigma is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society which is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies and affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.  Undergraduate Membership

1. Student must have declared a major or minor in Criminal Justice, or closely related field.
2. Student must have completed three full semesters (36 hours), or its equivalent.
3. Student must have completed four courses (12 hours) in Criminal Justice.
4. Student must maintain a 3.2 cumulative GPA, and have attained a 3.2 GPA in their criminal justice courses.

 Graduate Membership

1. Student must be enrolled in a graduate program in Criminal Justice or closely related field.
2. Student must have completed twelve hours of coursework in criminal justice.
3. Three of the four courses (nine hours) can be counted from their undergraduate coursework, if the student attained a 3.4 GPA or higher in those courses.
4. Student must have attained a GPA of 3.4.

 Chapters cannot lower the minimum requirements for Alpha Phi Sigma Membership

$50.00 one-time National membership fee
