Alumni Focus: Zack Crowell

University of North Alabama MBA SpecialistUniversity of North Alabama alumnus Zack Crowell is a Shoals native and Muscle Shoals High School graduate. While earning a Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resources Management, Zack also played in UNA’s Symphonic Band.

Zack earned his degree in 2007 and has since used the solid foundation and comprehensive knowledge he gained from UNA in the Human Resources field to excel as a Verizon Wireless sales consultant, a recruitment specialist for the Times Daily and, most recently, a human resources assistant at International Fertilizer Development Center, an international nonprofit organization based in Muscle Shoals.

Today, Zack is the MBA Specialist for the UNA College of Business.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to work for the University of North Alabama. I have lived in Florence my entire life, and grew up around the UNA campus. I’ve watched our football games since I was a small boy, so this is home to me, but I want it to be home to everyone else also, no matter where they are from.”

The MBA Specialist is a new position Dean Greg Carnes established this year. In this new role, Zack is the first point of contact for prospective students interested in earning a MBA degree from the College of Business. With Zack’s leadership, future graduate students gain valuable insight into the MBA program and the many concentrations available within the program. He works with the students to set goals specific to their skill set and guides them toward the most appropriate concentration of study. Zack serves as mentor from the application stage through the first semester of enrollment.

We have found new, collaborative ways to engage prospective students so that we may continue to grow as a University. The College of Business at UNA is building brand awareness of our MBA program and because of this, our MBA program is growing. I’m excited to be part of the team to see what the future has in store!”
