Meet the President
Will has a background in corporate communications, financial communications, public affairs, and advertising. He has advised Fortune 500 clients in the technology, healthcare, energy, and education industries, and has specialized expertise in shaping communications strategies for mergers and acquisitions, crisis and issues response, large-scale corporate change initiatives, and data security and privacy issues.
He currently serves as the US Products and Technology Communications Leader for PwC, formerly known as PricewaterhouseCoopers. He previously worked for Saxum, an integrated marketing agency in Oklahoma City, and before that he worked with Brunswick Group, a global financial communications firm, where he was based in Washington, D.C.
Will began his career as a legislative aide for former Rep. Parker Griffith, who represented Alabama’s 5th Congressional District, where he served in both the local field office in Muscle Shoals and Rep. Griffith’s office in Washington, D.C. This opportunity arose from an internship through his coursework at UNA and Will credits UNA’s focus on student development and the ability to develop relationships with professors in enabling this opportunity, which he considers one of the most formative experiences of his career.
Will is passionate about helping college students transition into the working world and is a big advocate for experiential learning and internship opportunities. Originally from Trinity, Alabama, Will is a proud graduate of West Morgan High School and worked with a group of fellow West Morgan graduates to establish an endowed scholarship with the UNA Foundation for West Morgan students who choose to attend UNA following graduation (click here to donate!).
Alongside his role with the UNA National Alumni Association, Will serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Central Oklahoma chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, the Alumni Networking Group for the UNA Communication Department, and is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Will resides in Oklahoma with his wife Spring – a native Okie – and their four children: their daughter, Berkley (15), daughter Basil (6), son Shepherd (4), and daughter Scout (1).
