Early College Withdrawal Process

Withdrawal Process

Any Early College student wishing to drop a class must do the following:

Drop Notification and Hold Lift Instructions

  • Log in to UNA email account.
  • Send an email including full name, UNA L number, and course name/section to the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office at earlycollege@una.edu.
  • Copy the appropriate high school counselor to the email.
  • Please allow 24-48 hours for the Dean’s Office to lift the Early College Hold before following the Drop instructions listed below.

Drop Instructions

  • Log in to UNA Portal
  • Click on Registration
  • Select Add/Drop Classes
  • Select the drop-down beside the class you wish to drop
  • Select web-withdraw and then submit change

This will be valid for online courses as well as regular courses. The email MUST come from the student's UNA portal account.

Withdrawing from a course before the deadline will not affect a student's GPA or academic standing. A notation of W, WP or WF is made on a student's transcript depending on the timing of course withdrawal. See schedule of classes for dates.

Students are strongly advised not to withdraw from courses unless necessary.
