The Office of International Affairs is sub-divided into three departments that provide specialized services to meet your needs.
The international admissions department evaluates all admission materials and determines admissibility for all prospective and current English as a second language (ESL) and undergraduate students. The international admissions department also assists students transition from ESL to academic programs as well as pre-graduate students as they move into graduate work. It is important to remember that ALL documents submitted to the admissions department become property of the University of North Alabama and that copies will not be made available after they have been turned in.

The Immigration Department is responsible for all SEVIS reporting and can assist you with questions and concerns related to your legal status in the U.S. Immigration issues and documents I-20s and DS-2019s. International students transferring into and out of UNA are assisted by Immigration.

The student services department assists international students adjust to life in US by arranging seminars and events through out the academic year. Services department also provides free airport transportation at the beginning and end of each semester, organizes international orientation, and provides information on extra curricular activities throughout the year. Services department provides personal and social adjustment support to students throughout their academic studies at UNA. Additionally, Services handles all Optional Practical Training (OPT) and Curricular Practical Training (CPT) requests.
