Lafayette Honors Hall is a coeducational residence hall available to new freshmen and upper classification students in the Honors Program. Lafayette can accommodate 60 men and women students on two separate floors. Assignment to Lafayette Honors Hall requires acceptance into the UNA Honors Program and pre-approval by Dr. Vince Brewton, Director, UNA Honors Program. Lafayette is co-ed by floor; space is limited. Lafayette Honors Hall faces beautiful campus walkways and is adjacent to the Guillot University Center (GUC).
Standard rooms are designed to house two residents per room. Each resident has an extra-long twin bed with mattress, bulletin board, chest of drawers, desk and chair, study lamp, armoire, and book shelves. All furniture is movable to allow residents to customize their rooms.
Community bath facilities are located on second and third floors. Each bath facility consists of showers and toilets, all with privacy enclosures, plus lavatories with mirrors.
Convenient card access entrances and 24-hour security are provided. All guests must sign the guest register in the lobby and be escorted by the host resident at all times. Structured visitation hours are enforced.
The first floor of Lafayette Honors Hall encompasses multiple services: laundry facilities, kitchen, vending machines, and a community TV lounge/activity area. Also, offices for Honors Program staff are located off the lobby. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within Lafayette Honors Hall.
Lafayette residents and approved Honors Program students have access to a computer lab located on the first floor. Computer labs are equipped with a networked printer on the mane card system. Residence hall computer labs are open to residents only.
Towers Cafeteria and the student recreational center are easily accessible for residents of Lafayette Honors Hall. Plus, Lafayette residents are just a few steps from the center of student activities in the GUC which includes the University Food Court.
