UNA Derby Day 2014

AND THEY'RE OFF...

AND THEY'RE OFF...

Those three little words ignite what is termed the most exciting two minutes in sports. UNA Derby Day is an opportunity for the campus and community to gather in a social setting to share the excitement of the race and its cultural connection to the area.

President and Mrs. Cale will host the 2nd annual UNA Derby Day on Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the beautiful lawn of Coby Hall.

The University has enlisted a wonderful group of volunteers, led by Stephanie Coleman and Alisha Haataja, to promote Derby Day.

Our hope is that you will join us in supporting the UNA Foundation to advance the educational mission of the University through this “not to be missed” 2nd Annual UNA Derby Day.

“Derby Day honors an old Southern tradition and in so doing, recalls a fascinating piece of Florence history. But when all is said and done, it is great fun and benefits UNA. Come join us on the lawn of Coby.” -- Dan Hendricks, Vice President, University Advancement
