UNA Summer Theatre performed HANK WILLIAMS: LOST HIGHWAY
July 12-14, 2013
UNA Summer Theatre’s production of Lost Highway was directed by two-time Tony-nominated director and co-author Randal Myler. This toe-tapping musical tribute showcased what Williams did best: performing. Lost Highway featured over 20 of Williams’ best loved songs.

World Press Freedom Day
May 3, 2013
While the First Amendment protects the rights of journalists in the United States to cover the news, this protection doesn't exist everywhere across the globe. To date, 17 journalists have been killed worldwide covering the news. The Communications Department led the UNA campus community in celebrating World Press Freedom Day on May 3, 2012.
Communications Students Participate in UNA Storytelling Festival

Students enrolled in COM 480: Topics in Communications-Storytelling Seminar participated along with Dr. Bill Huddleston in the UNA Storytelling Festival. For event details, visit the festival webpage.
Department of Communications Study Abroad in Tianjin, China
May Intersession: May 12-June 2, 2013
The UNA Department of Communications sponsored its first study-abroad course in China. A dozen communications students and two faculty members traveled to Tianjin, China, located 60 miles southeast of Beijing, during the May intersession.
Students participated in a wide range of activities while studying in China. For more information about the homestays, banquets, classes and sightseeing click here.
Note: The Tianjin UNA study-abroad group also included 10 theatre and 12 business students and their instructors.
